What makes me stand out is that I grew in a German-American household, therefore I'm on native level with both languages. I was born and raised in Franconia-Germany and moved to Florida. I am a tutor, translator and interpreter. All my life I have studied German and English and my linguistic work covers about 15 years. I was an English Instructor in an elementary school in Germany. Up to 12 children (2nd Grade, ages 8-9 years). In addition, I taught English at a German Day Care facility where the children were between the ages of 2-5 years old. My responsibilities included teaching everyday vocabulary in a fun and exciting way. The company that I worked for was contracted by the US Army in Europe to provide American children with special courses to enhance their experience in Europe. I taught German to US military family members (ages 6-18). I was responsible for creating an efficient and enriching curriculum. Providing students with working materials as well as books and games. The ages varied from 1st Grade to college students. I worked as a freelancer to provide customers with translations and interpretations German/English. The following are the working fields that I gained experience in: -Translating personal letters - Interpreting official occasions (weddings) -Supporting US Soldiers and their families with German paperwork, phone calls, and office errands - Cultural Consulting I have been working with several tutoring agencies and with local law firms providing document translation. I use the hands-on technique, which combines written material as well as visual teaching (touch, feel, hear, and see). Music, CD's and worksheets are provided and create a trustworthy, fun, and educational environment. The most important part to be able learn a second language (don't matter the age) or even just to brush it up is, that the tutor adjusts the teaching material and approach individually to the students needs. Also, that the pace is set perfectly to the students learning progress.

Hobbies
Being active and spending as much time my family and being outside as much as possible is my favorite thing to do. Laughing and smiling is on my every day to do list :) Working with children and adults and seeing their progress is the best reward one can have. Its such a Joy of Making a Difference and having the Interpersonal Interaction.
